  • How do I cancel an appointment?
I operate a 48 hour cancellation policy and the full consultation fee will be payable if you cancel within this time. If you need to cancel then please contact me as soon as you are able.
  • How do I make an appointment?
If you would like to make an appointment, please contact me using the contact form. I will aim to call you back within two working days of contacting me. If you decide you would like to proceed with a booking, I usually arrange a brief phone call with you first to get an overview of the difficulties and to ensure that I am a good fit for your needs.
  • How do you work?
I am an approachable, warm and compassionate therapist . My aim is to build a supportive relationship with you so that we can decide together what will help you to move forward. I can help you to grow a better understanding of yourself, and help you to leave the past behind you. I aim to help you to grow the skills you need to cope better with your thoughts and feelings so that you can build a richer and more fulfilling life.
  • Do I need to tell anyone that I am coming to see you?
Professional supervision: I have an ethical duty under the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS) code of conduct to receive regular supervision from another qualified psychologist. We meet regularly to discuss elements of my work and do not identify clients by name. This process ensures that I continue to offer clients the best service. Risk: I have an ethical and legal obligation to protect clients and other members of the public from risk of harm. This means that in the unlikely event that a client discloses information that suggests that either they or another member of the public is at risk of harm, I must inform relevant third parties (eg. next of kin, GP, social services, police etc). I would always try to contact you first to discuss the need to do this.
  • Are you registered with insurance companies?
I am currently registered with WPA and Aviva. I am not currently seeing people who are insured with AXA. If you are registered with another insurance company who will accept new professional registrations, please enquire.
